TAJ SHAWL KNIT ALONG

The Taj Shawl was created by designer Iris Schreier for her Ensemble Light yarn, and I'm excited this fabulous project as our next Knit Along virtually and in-store. The KAL kicks off Thursday, August 25. 

Details of the project: 

Each piece is knitted from the bottom up, using an interesting Feather and Fan pattern, that adds lots of structure to the soft soft yarn. The two identical pieces are joined seamlessly through the center to create the dramatic join along the back. The design keeps the shawl very wide, and it does not collapse in on itself as rectangular shawls in soft yarn tend to do.

The entire pattern is written out step by step, and consists of standard stitches. Generally it is much easier than it looks. The pattern starts with an i-cord tab and continues with an i-cord edging throughout to keep it neat and hide yarn changes. 

Ensemble Light Yarn Specs: 50% Silk, 50% Cashmere 400 yds/hank.

Knit Along Details:

Virtually - Thursdays: August 25, September 1, 8, 15 -- 6-8pm eastern

              - Saturdays: August 27, September 3, 10, 17 -- 1-3pm eastern
